introduction to storytelling

what is storytelling?

Storytelling is the interactive art of using words to reveal elements of a story and which encourages the listener's imagination. It is using one's personal experience to communicate a certain topic to the audience. The storytelling cohort focuses on communication and critical thinking skills through interviewing the lifelong learners.

what did the storytelling cohort do?

The storytelling cohort worked on interviewing longlife learners in the Allston/Brighton area to have them share their stories and experiences. Interns in this cohort learned ow to conduct interviews and putting together a podcast by identifying audio selects, arranging audio material into storyboard etc. Through interviews with lifelong learners, the interns were able to create a 7 episode podcast series. The podcast series ultimately showcases the stories and wisdom of the LLLs, as well as reflections about the interview experience of both the interns and the LLLs that took part in this journey.
